Just finished at 12 last night. I was disappointed by the ending. I do not want to say much for those who have not read it, but what occured did not make sense. My theory, she had another ending in mind, but changed it to one that was less tragic. (Not that that was the ending I wanted, however). The book was, overall, terrfic. I think it just deserved a more clever conclusion.

Rowling answers a lot of questions about "Deathly Hallows".

I believe King's Crossing represented a "Way-Station" between absolute death and life. Harry was in the middle of these two things. Voldemort was only able to kill the part of himself in Harry which was the pathetic creature crawling around. I am a bit hazy on why this happened. Something about blood and Harry's willingness to die. I have to re-read.
