So, we are back from Perkin where we spent 3 days. The mountains were beautiful, yet the people were incredibly poor. It broke my heart to see the way these people were dressed and how little they truly had. So far we have seen over 1000 patients, and hopefully made a difference in many lives. The children are ridiculously cute as well as respectful! We have also seen a bunch of cool derm cases which I am pleased about :) Today was super busy, there were 400 people we had to see, and it was crazy...so crazy in fact that I got stuck with a used needle, which was pretty upsetting. I am ok though, and we have one more day to go...looking forward to coming home but I am so glad I came....I'll post some more pics now.

Ok, it's late, and I have been without internet for 4 days. I posted some new pics today..we are back in San Salvador, alive, yet still with our armed guards :) I will post more about the trip tomorrow!

So it is the day before I leave for my trip. Our flight is due to leave at 10am out of JFK, putting us in El Salvador at 1pm (3pm NY time). I don't think there is much planned as far as seeing patients that first day...we have sort through everything we brought, and set up our makeshift pharmacy. Looking forward to it.
