My belief is that we are here on earth for many reasons but the chief one is to accept the free gift that God gave us, His Son, Jesus to reconcile us to God. None of us are sinless, Jesus' sacrifice paid the price for us to have fellowship with God and eternal life with Him. As we draw closer to the Lord thru trials, joyous times and life in general, we become more like Him. We want others to know the peace that comes from God and the security that you are His child. The Bible is God's Word and He gave it to us a a love letter. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. He loves you!

David...The real meaning of life may surprise you...and everyone does not agree on what it is. This momentary life that you are now experiencing, is a test...your spiritual being is having an opportunity to live (exist) on a physical planet, namely a particular planet in the universe called earth. If evil didn't exist here on this planet, it really wouldn't be much of a test, would it? How one lives their life here now, will decide if and where we will live next.

Ever hear about how man is just now learning to monitor the human brain, thoughts, dreams? Well, there is a supreme being who can and does record and monitor our thoughts, actions and deeds here on earth. It's really not that difficult to believe. Think on one of man's latest inventions, the computer...how easy it is to record everything one watches or accesses on the internet.

Our purpose here on earth is to live a life as pure, as decent, as loving as possible...Ultimately, you yourself will find out if you past the test or not. Believe me, there are other planets in the many solar systems that have life much, much higher, and much more wonderful than this life here on planet earth. Our task, here on earth, is to graduate to a higher spiritual plane to move on to the next reward. This opinion is from one who seeks God's will in my life. I do not represent everyone's viewpoint.

First off, 42 is indeed the answer! XD I haven't heard that in a LOOONG TIME!
...and on a little more serious note, I mentioned that life is about being fulfilled (that was a while ago, jeez).

Well, since then, I have been through a definite period of defining with my own life, and all around it. As a result, my philosophy changes, evolves into something that I hope is better and closer to the truth.

What is the meaning to life. Allow me to break it down.
What is meaning? To some meaning is a simple definition, to others it's what is important. Both are correct ways of looking at it, but I believe for this purpose I will say the first definition will be more appropriate for this will eliminate some personal bias. Now gets tricky.

What is life? Is life just our own existence? Is it the existence of all the people in this world right now? Is it anything that had, are, and will live? ...I like to take the last thought, for it truly is the closest to infinity, allowing the most potential.

So, 'What is the meaning of life' is now 'What is the definition to human existence, past, present, and future'.

...I will let others think about this, and then I'll give another post finishing my thoughts.

There are some interesting answers here.. to share my view:
Life is what we concieve of it to be. Each thought and action creates our own perception of the world we live in; our perception of life IS our reality. It doesn't much matter what life 'really' is, because we only see and experience what we believe life to be. The great part of this is, if we do not have the life we truly want, at any given moment, we can choose to change our thoughts and perceptions and that will become our reality. IF we are not happy with life we can turn a negative aspect to a positive one and 'create' the life we want. It can be tough to do but fortunately the positive thoughts/energy, far out-weigh the negative, so we make progress. As I believe, we are all one. For us, on an individual basis, to be happy we must also willing choose to strive for happiness for others.

because of survival, human put in race their life. long-long time ago people living in harmony. but due to some conflict from human it self, it became tumor and goes to cancer. now a days human problem are not domestic but became border less.
