Our headline news in the Moline Dispatch includes new of global warming and the effects it's already begun to have on us... one of these days, about twenty years from now, there's goingto be a major water shortage. The overall effects are going to be grim... unless we do something about it now. What do you suggest?

OK, first with global warming there will be an INCREASE of water not a shortage. More heat = melting polar ice. The problem is the chemical waste and pollutants we put into the water, the fossil fuels we burn, and the sheer volume of garbage that we produce - especially the non-biodegradable types.

I agree the goverment should do the biggest effort into helping our enviroment, but its basically finding new sources that would help the enviroment and not harm them, our technology is not that advance enough and maybe it wont be for a long time even though we come far. Its sad that we done this to our home planet, we have done it by the cars we drive and all the chemicals we have into the air and the earth. Maybe we can try to find some type of safer ways we can help our enviroment.

I think the average person is aware and "trying" to do their part, but I think governments need to make the biggest changes.
