I caught a brief glimpse of the news this AM... among top stories, Hilary Clinton says if president, she will "end" the war. I was just wondering... just how does she or anyone else propose to do so? By bringing our troops home? That won't end it. It's going to take much more than that to bring the war to an end. Much more than that.
Can any of our presedential canidates "end" war?

After the debate, I am supporting Hillary
I think Obama is fresh and new. Hillary has a strong organization though. So does McCain. What do you think?
So why does everyone think that she is losing ground to Obama?
Doormouse, it is good to have you back in the conversation!!
I think we will all have much time to reflect since the season is so long. I am a New Yorker and met her after 9/11. I was very impressed by her strength and intelligence. I think we will see many good candidates from both parties before this is all done.
okay... been a few weeks since i first posted. thanks for the feedback.
fears... i had some, i did. you don't have to understand what my fears were... just that i had a few. some things have happened since i last placed an entry.
i did have some of MY fears and doubts and what-nots laid to rest. see.. not even a few short weeks ago, hillary was in des moines, ia. i got to hear HER... and not what tv or radio or newspaper edits and leaves for us to hear or read, later. i must say, it has made quite an impact for how i feel about her as a possibility for president. a positive impact.
that doesn't necessarily mean i am anxious to vote for her... but moreso i am in fact more favorable of her at this time. who knows what the next few months will bring. who knows?
I think hillary would be excellent. I do not understand the fear.
I personally would also have a problem with a woman president. It is just not a feminine occupation.
Sarah is right. In fact, one of my problems with Hillary is that she is too much of a hawk.
In response to the comment about Hillary doing something rash and taking out troops immediately... You can't be basing that on any fact that you have read. She actually is the only democrat running that does not believe in immediate withdrawal. She wants a phased approach and she actually agrees w/the republicans to not but any time tables on it. She also would like a small footprint to stay there at the borders to prevent Iraq from turning into an Afghanistan and influence from Iran.
You can check out the transcript of her interview on the NY times.
