Log homes and cabins should be resurfaced using the dry method. This method uses the center of the corn cob as the media to remove stain from your home. Using a "Blaster Buddy" and a CFM 185 compressor the corn cob media is blasted at high pressure to remove the failed stain from log, suffit, fascia boards. Sanding with 6 inch orbital sanders using 40 grit paper is needed to properly finish surfacing the logs. Corn cob media is around $18.00 for a 40 lbs bag. Corn media is environmentally friendly and has no food value.
