If you had one million dollars to donate to a cause/charity, which one would it be and why?
I would donate it to autism research. I think we need to discover why it is on the rise and do something about it quickly.

That sounds like a very interesting and worthwhile project.
My almost ready for the big time website is geared towards the locating deadbeat parents who are running away from their responsibilities. Being a single dad for most of my now adult children's life, I personally knows the trials and tribulations of single parenting. Parents with two is certainly challenging enough, but with one!!!
My DIYCarKits site is one that my 20 y/o son and I are working on together.
If I had a million dollars I would donate it to the ALS of Nevada. If you're not familiar with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) you are extremely lucky. My mother passed away in the most horrific state, words cannot describe. This disease affects more people and families about 1 in 10 but many go without proper diagnosis. There is no cure, though research continues.
In Nevada, two wonderful woman cover the entire State bringing aid and assistance to victims and their families. It's a huge State! ALS of Nevada is not affiliated with the national group because the money needs to stay here! Grassroots all the way, but they kick butt.
My Blog has the link to contribute to for the walk
http://IDopersonalgifts.blogspot.com I forgot to include it on my last post sorry.
Contributing to my march online is fast, easy and secure. You can donate directly from my personal webpage with a credit/debit card or PayPal. If you prefer, I can also accept cash or check. Just click the appropriate box on my webpage.
The money we raise helps save premature and sick babies. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babiesâ health today, and through March for Babies, the March of Dimes is funding important research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it.
Iâve joined with millions of compassionate people across the country who support March for Babies each year. Wonât you please help me in this worthy cause? Visit my webpage and sponsor me in the march that saves babies!
Chevrolet has teamed up with Autism Speaks to drive home the
message of autism awareness. During April â Autism Awareness Month â visitors to the Autism Speaks website (www.autismspeaks.org), can click on the âHelp Chevy Help Autismâ icon and take a virtual test drive of the 2008 North American Car of the Year â the all-new Chevy Malibu. Chevrolet has committed to a minimum contribution of $500,000, but every virtual test drive taken gets Chevrolet closer to its goal of donating up to $1 million to Autism Speaks to support its mission of increasing awareness of autism and raising money to fund autism research. Those who complete the virtual test drive will receive a free 30-day online trial of XM Satellite Radio. Read more and visit the Autism Speaks home page to take the virtual test drive.

I would donate to the SIDS foundation
I am totally with you. I am a big supporter of Autism. So I would donate money to the cause. 1 out of every 150 children born have autism, what is going on? I've done some brief research and autism is on the rise.
I would say that I am a consumer advocate....

I would raise money for children in America's Foster care system. To give them better exposure and to help them find homes. It's sad to hear how many older children never find a real home with a mom and dad.
I have a cousin who has severe Autism it is a definate good cause as well to raise awareness and to raise funds to find a cure or atleast find a way to communicate with them more effectively. He is 14 now and still has not been able to communicate has gotten lost a few times and has severe food allergies great post!!
