This is a very fine american mid 19th Century Massachusetts Sandwich Glass double overlay ruby red whale oil lamp with a brass doric column and a double square marble base. The ruby red font is cut to white then cut to clear. It is in a superb state of preservation. There is no damage, alterations, repair or restoration. Origin: Sandwich, Massachusetts. Excellent condition. New silk shade for contemporary lighting.
